Developing the Education System: The Clear Path of the Modern Era
On October 28, 2024, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, will hold a session of the Halk Maslahaty, focused on the improvement of the science, education, and culture systems, as well as state policy on youth in the communities until the end of this year. A business meeting was held in preparation, dedicated to fulfilling this mission. It was attended by representatives from various ministries, departmental administrations, municipalities, public organizations, political parties, mass media, as well as education professionals, professors, and students.
As is known, at the session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan held on September 24, 2024, our National Leader stated: “The development of our independent state and our united society is strongly connected with science, education, and culture,” emphasizing the need to expand reforms for the new era. He highlighted that our society requires increased educational opportunities. In line with this vision, it was proposed to hold conferences related to the improvement of the science, education, and culture systems, and state policy on youth by the end of the year.
Additionally, the National Leader of Turkmenistan identified the initiation of a new phase of high-speed development as one of the important tasks ahead. He proposed that the plan “Strategy for the Development of Higher Education for 2026-2052,” covering various fields, be presented at next year’s Assembly of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. The Strategy of the Science System Development in Turkmenistan for 2024-2052, approved by the Decree of the President of the Halk Maslahaty, is another significant document. The Plan of Measures for 2024-2028 outlines specific actions to be taken to implement this important initiative.
At the business meeting held at the National School of Turkmen Diplomacy, representatives of the respected fields emphasized that the rapid advancements in science and technology and the emergence of new technologies necessitate improvements in teaching methodology within educational institutions. Attendees shared their thoughts and specific proposals in this regard. In this new historical period, all conditions are being created for young Turkmen people to receive quality education and training, enabling them to serve the nation and its people with honor. Ongoing work toward these goals was proudly noted.
These and other issues were discussed in detail at the meeting, where large-scale programs were adopted. Special attention was given to the need for persistent efforts to achieve the important tasks set for the Halk Maslahaty. As our National Leader emphasized, our primary goal is to channel the indomitable energy of our people into the further prosperity and development of our country.
Participants in the business conference expressed their gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, who has shown exceptional dedication to modernizing the science and education system, as well as to the President of Turkmenistan.
