OXFORD UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR DELIVERS GUEST LECTURE
On March 14, 2026, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a guest lecture by Antonios Tzanakopoulos, Professor of Public International Law at the University of Oxford, with participation of the faculty members and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During his presentation, Professor Antonios Tzanakopoulos focused on contemporary transformations within the international legal system. He provided a detailed analysis of mechanisms for resolving interstate disputes, emphasizing the growing role of international courts and tribunals in maintaining global stability.
A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to a Q&A session. Students engaged actively, showing particular interest in issues of international humanitarian law and the academic nuances of legal education at Oxford.
In his closing remarks, the guest emphasized the importance of academic exchange, noting that such initiatives strengthen intellectual cooperation between Turkmenistan and the world’s leading scientific and educational centers.
