TRAINING SESSION WITH A BRITISH DIPLOMAT
On March 13, 2026, a training session was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the participation of Sir Ivor Roberts, a former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain, a well-known diplomat and scientist. Students and lecturers of our Institute participated in this event.
During the training session, the guest provided participants with extensive information on the theory and practice of diplomacy. In particular, the guest shared his rich experience as the editor of the famous book “Satow's Diplomatic Practice”, which is considered the “main guide” of world diplomacy. He aslo discussed diplomatic protocol, the culture of conducting negotiations and important issues of modern international relations.
At the end of the training session, an interesting “Q&A” (question-and-answer) session was held where the students received detailed answers to their questions.
