An Impressive Open Lecture
On February 9, 2024, the first lecture of the second half of the 2023-2024 academic year, entitled “Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Students and teachers of our institute took part in the open lecture held by Baba Saryev, senior teacher of the Department of Theory and Practice of Journalism of our institute, candidate of philological sciences, poet.
During the open lecture, Baba Saryev, who thoroughly studied Magtymguly's work, told the participants about the patriotic and humanitarian ideas put forward in the poet's poems, as well as their artistic perfection. In addition, the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy is widely celebrated in the country, as well as on an international level, and the importance of a thorough study of his works was emphasized. Such talks, of course, were memorable for the listeners because they were supplemented with effective examples and lines of poetry.
At the end of the open lecture, the students who participated in it turned to the teacher with questions about the life and works of Magtymguly Pyragy, classical Turkmen literature, and received comprehensive answers to them.
