BOOK AWARD CEREMONY BY THE NIPPON FOUNDATION
On June 4, 2025, a book award ceremony featuring English-language introductory books about Japan―donated by The Nippon Foundation― was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Mr. Hiroshi Sasaki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Turkmenistan was attended the ceremony.
The main goal of the event was to support the teaching of the Japanese language in our country and to increase students’ interest in learning it. The majority of the awarded books are special manuals intended for practical Japanese language classes. In addition, the collection includes books devoted to Japanese culture, history, economy, and state policy.
Such events, held within the framework of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in the field of education, enhance young people’s motivation to study the Japanese language, promote a love of reading, and contribute to strengthening friendly relations between the two countries.
