A NEW DIRECTION OF COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF DIGITAL SYSTEMS
On July 18, 2025, an online seminar was held with the participation of specialized higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan. This event was organized by the Department of Digital Systems and Information Security of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, with the involvement of highly qualified specialists from Coursera, on the topic: «Integrating Quality Online Education into the Academic Programs of Turkmenistan».
Alongside representatives of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions of Turkmenistan, the seminar was also attended by faculty members and specialists from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, who are responsible for digital education, digital economy, and cybersecurity.
The seminar was aimed at modernizing the higher education system in Turkmenistan, upgrading university academic programs through digital technologies, and expanding the opportunities to provide accessible and high-quality education to students. It is worth noting that Coursera is a global online platform offering access to courses and educational programs from leading universities and companies around the world in digital format, regardless of the user’s location.
During the seminar, modern practices of online education, successful practical models, and pedagogical methods were discussed in detail. The seminar, conducted via a digital platform, played a significant role in enhancing the participants’ theoretical knowledge and in mastering modern scientific and technological solutions as well as the results of advanced research.
