Intellectual competition
On May 19-20, 2021, an intellectual competition was jointly organized, among the students of the higher educational establishments, with the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the founding of Ashgabat, also the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for peace dedicated to the foreign policy achievements of Turkmenistan.
Under the terms of the competition, the first round of the competition was attended by a group of students from higher education establishments of the country, who delivered a presentation online in English dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the founding of Ashgabat. A total of 12 groups took part in the first round, including students from the International University for Humanities and Development, International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev, the Turkmen National Institute of the World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi, Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. A total of 8 teams qualified for the second round as a result of the first round.
The second round was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Students from other universities watched the competition online. The winning teams in the second round competed by answering 5 questions compiled by the judges in English. The students were able to clearly answer the questions from our esteemed President's book entitled "Turkmenistan is the Heart of the Great Silk Road", as well as historical sources on international events held in the capital during the period 2007-2021. The competition, which was held being guided by the instructions of our highly esteemed President on teaching youth in depth foreign languages, further promoted the language skills of the students. According to the results of the competition, the student team of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan won the Grand Prix, the student team of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance took the 1st place, the student team of the Turkmen State Energy Institute took the 2nd place and the student team of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports took the 3rd place. The team that won the Grand Prix was awarded with Tolkun 42 TV on behalf of the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly. Those who won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places were awarded with valuable gifts and relevant diplomas.
