MASTER DIPLOMAT’S COURSE IN FRENCH LANGUAGE
On April 18, 2024, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was held a lesson in French language to the students of our institute. The lesson was conducted by Chary Niyazov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan, Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During this lesson, the master diplomat taught the finer points of diplomacy and gave interesting information about the different ways of speaking the French language. Also, he told the students to learn French and knowing French is useful and advantageous. When he started speaking in French, first he said: «Diplomacy is the art of implementing the foreign policy of the state. He achieves his goal mainly through persuasion and agreement. A state or a number of states come together and look for ways to direct the changes taking place in an advantageous direction for them. It is called «dialogue» in diplomacy».
As our Hero Arkadag said, «Dialogue is the Guarantee of Peace. For several years now, this philosophy has become a logical continuation of the principle of «Peace through Growth» of Turkmenistan's foreign policy. Today, Turkmen diplomats are working on promoting this philosophy in international relations. Also, special importance is attached to preventive diplomacy, its effective use of tools such as strengthening peace, resolving emerging issues through political-diplomatic means, peace-building and strengthening the culture of trust.
In addition, the lesson was made more effective by the students' questions in French.
At the end of the course, the participants expressed their gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and esteemed President for his wise foreign policy in maintaining peace and security in our country and the world.
