Webinar Trough Telecommunications among the Higher Educational Institutions of Turkmenistan
On April 12, 2021, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan organized a webinar through telecommunications under the title “Turkmenistan and the United Nations: Steps of the Turkmen Diplomacy for Peace and Development”. It is devoted to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan, the 25th anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan and the Day of the English Language, one of the official languages of the United Nations. The teaching staff and students of the Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan, the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after M. Garriyev and the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S. Niyazov took part in it.
The main purpose of the webinar was to provide students with a broad understanding of the priorities of Turkmen diplomacy, in particular medical and ecological diplomacy.
The fact that the webinar was held in English had a positive impact on the development of language skills of students, such as listening, speaking, comprehension skills. Moreover, video conferences, webinars, training of highly skilled professionals and exchange of expertise among the higher educational institutions of the country, as well as the foreign higher education institutions with which the Institute concluded a memorandum on cooperation testify to the development of the digital education system of the country.
