Our students participated in the study program entitled "Environmental Issues for Young Girls"
From June 21 to July 26, 2024, Akgozel Rasulova, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of International Relations and Yupar Egirjayeva, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of International Economic Relations of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as Gurbangul Sapargeldiyeva and Chinar Garlyeva students of the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan participated in the "Environmental Issues for Young Girls" program held at Green River College in Auburn, Washington, within the framework of the "US Studies Institutes" (SUSI) program. This five-week academic initiative is designed to enhance their leadership and environmental management skills along with interpersonal abilities.
The SUSI program offered a comprehensive curriculum that included a four-week academic residency that included interactive classroom activities, discussions, general classes, and workshops. Under the program, participants engaged in leadership development, community service, field trips to explore environmental issues, and the program served as a platform to interact and network with like-minded young women leaders from 22 countries.
During the event held within the framework of the program, students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan visited Georgetown University. The visit included general lessons on environmental issues from an international relations perspective.
