Volunteers Prepare for the UN Avaza Forum
On July 19, 2025, a training session was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in connection with the upcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will take place from August 4 to 8, 2025, in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone. The session brought together selected translators, volunteers, young reporters, and public speakers from journalism-focused universities across the country.
During the training, Professor Atajan Burunov, Head of the Department of Social Sciences of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, and Begench Matliyev, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, delivered speeches. The speakers emphasized the high-level preparations for this major international conference and provided a detailed overview of the event’s rich program, which will encompass political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian dimensions.
The session also explained the responsibilities of young public speakers in promoting the initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag, and the Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar aimed at developing the international transport and logistics system both in Turkmenistan and globally. Additionally, participants discussed the importance of highlighting the country's achievements on the international stage through mass media. The training contributed to the enhancement of volunteers’ additional skills and improved their understanding of diplomatic protocol and etiquette.
