TRAINING COURSE ON WATER DIPLOMACY
On March 20, 2023, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, was held a training course on "Water Diplomacy". Training course was organized by the Training Center on Priority Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan. It was conducted by Nazar Mammedov, the Education Program Specialist of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Office in Turkmenistan. During the training course, the lecturer gave informative information about the work, which is being done in the world to combat climate change and its consequences. Establishing international cooperation on environmental protection is one of the main directions of the Turkmenistan’s foreign policy. In this field, the expert noted that our country participates in a number of UN international conventions and programs related to the environmental system and takes part with international initiatives at the meetings of the UN General Assembly and other conferences.
Training course was very effective for the students of our Institute and they received comprehensive answers to their questions.
