Effective lecture on water diplomacy
On May 11, 2023, a regular lecture on Water Diplomacy of the Educational Center for the Priority Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The United Nations Resident Coordinator to Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko and the Adviser to the Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Magtymguly Akmyradov conducted the training. During the lecture, the role and importance of resolving key issues of Water Diplomacy in the field of international relations, ecological problems of the Aral Sea region and important steps taken by Turkmenistan in the field of water security and their support at the international level were discussed in detail. At the end of the lecture, there was an exchange of questions.
