Online pandemic training workshop
On September 7-8, 2021, Ashgabat hosted the International Online Training Conference on “Assistance in building capacity of state institutions to communicate with the public and media during pandemic and health emergencies”. Representatives of ministries and departments, higher education institutions, including the Institute of International Relations, as well as the media, attended the training session organized by the Ashgabat Center for Security and Cooperation in Europe in cooperation with Turkmenistan. The two-day training was conducted by experts from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Dmitry Strovsky and Gulnara Toralieva.
At the workshop discussed in detail the experience gained in conducting public events to prevent the disease in the context of the pandemic, the goals, principles and ways in which government agencies communicate with the media.
At the workshop also were discussed the effectiveness of the types of media messages that reflect of the pandemic-related issues, the features of the rapid and urgent delivery of information to the public, the publication of articles, the ways to combat counterfeit information, the ways to increase the of effectiveness of articles interviews, newsreels and the methods of proper placement of them in newspapers and magazines.
During the workshop, the participants exchanged views on relevant issues.
