A lesson in Preventive Diplomacy
On April 12, 2024, as part of the «Preventive Diplomacy» Training Center for Priority Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, hosted a training lesson on «Peace and Trust – the Foundation of International Security, Stability, and Development».
The training course was conducted by Merdan Berdiniyazov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy. M.Berdiniyazov informed the students that Neutral Turkmenistan actively participates in finding balanced solutions to the major issues on the regional and international agendas, actively contributing to the strengthening of peace, security, and stability, as well as achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
In addition, Lecturer M.Berdiniyazov noted that, at the recent 63rd plenary session of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, on the initiative of Turkmenistan, a historical resolution was unanimously adopted. Based on this resolution, 2025 was declared the «International Year of Peace and Trust», with 86 countries around the world co-sponsoring this initiative.
At the conclusion of the tutorial, students were afforded the opportunity to pose their inquiries.
