SUCCESS OF THE III OPEN INTERNATIONAL INTERNET ECOLOGICAL OLYMPIAD
On the eve of the upcoming International Neutrality Day, large-scale international events and competitions in the field of education are being held under the motto of the "Fount of the Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy". One of such international competitions was held on 5 December 2024, it was the III Open International Internet Ecology Olympia, held at S.A.Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University among the students of higher educational establishments of our country and abroad.
The opening ceremony of the international competition continued with performances by the amateur art group of the "Altyn Asyr" Cultural Center of the university. The event, held on the eve of International Neutrality Day, also featured musical performances demonstrating the national culture and art of friendly nations.
The III Open International Internet Ecology Olympiad involved 500 students from 25 universities of Turkmenistan and 70 universities from 30 foreign countries such as Azerbaijan, Australia, the USA, Republic of Belorussia, Great Britain, Brazil, Czech Republic, Islamic Republic of Iran, France, Kazakhstan, Germany, South Africa, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, India, Croatia, China, Indonesia, Spain, Canada, Malaysia, Mexico, Egypt, Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkey and Japan. The tasks covered topics such as population ecology and biosphere studies, human ecology and contemporary ecological issues, industrial ecology, environmental monitoring, and environmental law, as well as international organizations. Participants were given 90 minutes to complete the tasks, and their results were evaluated using software, and the final scores were summarized.
A team of students from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan also participated in the competition and performed successfully. According to the results of the international olympiad, Shyhdurdy Shyhyev, the second-year students of the Faculty of International Relations of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan achieved second place, and Tangryguly Geldimammedov took the third place.
