The Awarding Ceremony for the Winners of the International Online Quiz
On June 12, 2024, on Science Day, the awarding ceremony for the winners of the International Online Quiz “I Wish They Called Ny Name, Magtymguly,” jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education and Culture of Turkmenistan, the State Committee for Television, Radio Communications and Cinematography, and the Central Council of the Youth Organization named after Magtymguly, was held at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, with the participation of rectors of higher educational institutions, professors, instructors and students, as well as representatives of public organizations and mass media.
As is known, the International Online Quiz announced on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy was dedicated to the life of the great poet and his literary heritage, which has become a valuable part of world culture. More than 500 students of local and foreign higher educational institutions have registered to participate in the quiz.
The focus of the Online Quiz was the rich literary heritage of the poet’s oeuvre, his poems on universal principles of humanism, as well as the statements of famous foreign writers and poets about Magtymguly Pyragy. It was conducted on the basis of test questions prepared in 3 languages (Turkmen, Russian and English). The winners were determined based on the correctness of the answers and the time taken to solve the test. 35 participants were recognized as winners, 6 of them are students of foreign universities.
Students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan showed the highest result in the International Online Quiz. In this regard, 6 students of the Turkmen National School of Diplomacy – students of the Faculty of International Journalism: Matgurban Matgurbanov, Jahantach Ovezova, Batyrmuhammet Orazov, Dunyagozel Charyeva, and students of the Faculty of International Relations: Serdar Rahymov, Shyhdurdy Shykhyev, became winners. Certificates of Honor and valuable gifts were presented to the winners during the awarding ceremony.
