An interesting trip to the ancient fortress of Nisa
On Aprill 27, 2022, the members of the School of Young Diplomats went on an excursion to the State Historical and Cultural Park “Parthian Fortresses of Nisa”, which is included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO in 2007. This excursion was organized by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Here the members of the School of Young Diplomats got acquainted with the fortresses of Old and New Nisa, which preserved the material culture and art of the Parthian State as one of the great states of the ancient world. The visiting course, dedicated to the theme “Diplomacy and Diplomatic Traditions of the Parthian and Hun States” was held in the frame of this tour.
During the tour, the representatives of the reserve told the young travelers about the history of the fortress and its archeological layers. The aim of the tour was to get acquainted with these heritage and increased our knowledge about the life of our ancestors and their contribution to the diplomacy. As well as the members of the School of Young Diplomats learned that the Parthian Empire was one of the most powerful and influential civilizations of the ancient world and Nisa, the capital of the Parthian Empire, is the outstanding symbol of the significance of this imperial power.
At the end of the tour, the participants thanked our honourable President for the great opportunities aimed at developing and revealing the talents of each of the younger generations in our country.
