Meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres Inspires Participants of UNRCCA Preventive Diplomacy Academy in Turkmenistan
On July 6, participants and alumni of the Preventive Diplomacy Academy (PDA) of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) in Turkmenistan had a significant opportunity to meet with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.
The meeting began with participants from Central Asia and Afghanistan sharing their visions on pressing global issues. This exchange of ideas highlighted the diverse perspectives and unique insights of young leaders from the region.
During the discussion, Secretary-General Guterres reiterated the urgent challenge of climate change, emphasizing its profound impact on humanity. He also discussed the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence in shaping the future and addressing global problems.
As the meeting concluded, the participants and alumni of the UNRCCA PDA expressed their readiness to embrace the Secretary-General's suggestions.
