Study Tour on Engaging Youth in Entrepreneurship
On June 7, 2021, students of the Faculty of International Economic Relations made a study tour to the “MB-shoes” production enterprise of the economic society Muhammet-Balkan. The tour, which was organized by the Department of International Economic Relations of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, directed at strengthening theoretical knowledge in practice and widely engaging youth in entrepreneurship.
The students witnessed the process of manufacturing of our national, modern footwear under the MB-shoes and Mengli-shoes brand launched by the Muhammet-Balkan economic society in 2019. During production the students listened to the entrepreneur's stories about the company's progress. Convenience, high quality and affordable price have further increased the students' demand for our national products.
According to the head of the Muhammet-Balkan economic society, customers are now offered 30-46 sizes, including children's shoes. The shoes attract customers with their strength and durability.
Stating that the shoes are made from local raw materials, Italian designs and that the current production capacity of the company is 85,000 pairs of shoes per year, the entrepreneur concluded his speech and thus increased the students' enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. Another interesting moment for the students was the handmade antique shoes that hung at the entrance to the MB-shoes store. According to the businessman, he inherited the shoes from his great-great -grandfather. At the end of the study tour, the students received valuable gifts on behalf of the head of the enterprise and were taken family photo for memory.
