The New Academic Year Has Begun at the National School of Turkmen Diplomacy
September 1st – the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth! This date marks the day when many young hearts eagerly step into the world of knowledge. It is a special holiday for teachers, students, children entering schools for the first time, university students, parents, and indeed, the entire nation.
As is tradition, on the first day of autumn, the first bell rang, heralding the start of the 2024-2025 academic year in our country’s secondary, specialized secondary, and higher educational institutions.
Festive ceremonies were also widely held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Early in the morning, the atmosphere in front of the institute was filled with celebration and high spirits. The event began with the playing of the National Anthem of Turkmenistan. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, read the congratulatory message from our esteemed President addressed to the schoolchildren, university students, teachers, and educators of our country on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, which had a particularly strong impact on the students of the National School of Turkmen Diplomacy.
The rector of the institute, Gulshat Yusupova, delivered a speech highlighting that the state’s care for the younger generation is yielding fruitful results. The senior lecturer of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, candidate of technical sciences, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan, holder of the distinctive badge “Skillful Diplomat of Turkmenistan” Chary Niyazov aslo congratulated the students on the beginning of the new academic year.
During the ceremony, which was filled with joy and excitement in the year “Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Pyragy,” a special place was given to the literary-musical composition performed by first-year students of the institute, where the poems of Magtymguly Pyragy were prominently featured. Additionally, the peaceful initiatives promoted on a global scale by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag, and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, were expressively conveyed through the voices of the youth. On one hand, this demonstrated the deep interest of the students in the works of the great Eastern thinker, and on the other hand, it inspired confidence that they would worthily continue the peaceful traditions of Turkmen diplomacy in the future. The release of white doves as a symbol of peace, and the heartfelt expressions of pride in various languages added to the festive atmosphere.
The fact that the winners of the third season of the intellectual competition “Young Messengers of Peace,” organized by the School of Young Diplomats, stood out among the fortunate youth entering the National School of Turkmen Diplomacy for the first time, added a special touch to the ceremony. Following a noble tradition, final-year students of the institute presented the newly admitted students with a symbolic token of entering the world of knowledge and handed them their student ID cards.
The emotional moment arrived – the first bell announced the start of the new academic year. After these wonderful moments, the students attended the first lesson of the new academic year, held under the theme “Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Pyragy.”
Happy new academic year to you, dear teachers, and fellow students!
