AN IMPRESSIVE TOUR TO THE HISTORICAL FORTRESS
On April 5, 2024, a tour to the state cultural-historical monument «Nisa Parthian Castles» included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List was organized with the participation of schoolchildren and students who are active members of the School of Young Diplomats of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During the visit, a short training course and a scientific-seminar dedicated to the diplomatic relations of the Parthian state were held. During the exchange course, Ayna Baymuradova, a senior teacher of the Department of Social Sciences of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a candidate of historical sciences, told the members of the School of Young Diplomats about the diplomatic relations of the Parthian state with countries such as China and Rome, the culture of the state, and the wonderful architectural features of the Nisa castles. The aim of the tour was to get acquainted with these heritage and increased our knowledge about the life of our ancestors and their contribution to the diplomacy.
Additionally, the members of the School of Young Diplomats had a mutual conversation, exchanging opinions about the diplomatic relations of that historical period. The regular organization of such trips to the monuments of historical fortresses located in the Turkmen land with a glorious history of five thousand years greatly contributes to the further improvement of the additional educational skills of the members of the School of Young Diplomats, who are the future representatives of Turkmen diplomacy. At the end of the tour, the participants expressed their gratitude to the highly-esteemed President of Turkmenistan for the wide opportunities created to reveal the abilities and talents of the young generation in the country.
