A Training Workshop on Multimedia Journalism Was Held
A training workshop titled «Multimedia journalism: how to use digital tools to cover socially important topics in current media formats» was held from April 21 to 23, 2026, organized by the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat. The event was attended by representatives of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as members of the mass media.
The three-day workshop, aimed at improving the professional skills of media specialists, young journalists, and communication professionals, was opened with a speech by William Leaf, Head of the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat. In his address, he spoke in detail about the importance of digital media tools in the modern era. Presentations were also delivered by experienced Russian experts Yuri Zvyaginsev and Alexey Terekhov.
The comprehensive program covered current media trends, changes in information consumption culture, methods of effectively presenting complex social issues, infographics, the use of artificial intelligence for data visualization, and the development of multimedia projects.
