YOUTH DIALOGUE: “YOUTH FOR STRENGTHENING INTERNATIONAL LAW”
On April 24, 2026, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, together with the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, held a youth dialogue platform titled “Youth for Strengthening International Law” for students of the country's higher education institutions. The dialogue was attended by law students from the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The organization of this dialogue clearly reflects the fact that relations between the nations of the world should be built on the basis of generally recognized norms of international law. This is evidenced by the adoption of numerous resolutions at the UN General Assembly on the initiative of Turkmenistan aimed at resolving important international issues, as well as the declaration of 2028 as the “Year of International Law” as a triumph of the policy of neutrality, which serves as the foundation for prosperity and sustainable development.
This event was organized to provide a broad explanation to the youth regarding the essence and content of the initiative to declare 2028 the “Year of International Law” and to enhance the knowledge of future specialists in the field of international law. During the dialogue, participants presented proposals for implementing the international initiatives put forward by the Honorable President within the framework of the UN.
At the conclusion of the dialogue, participants were solemnly presented with certificates of honor and commemorative gifts on behalf of the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
