Scientific and practical conference on the theme "Magtymguly Fragi - a poet who glorifies the well-being of human"
On June 21, 2024, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a scientific and practical conference on the theme "Magtymguly Fragi - a poet who glorifies the well-being of human" on the occasion of the Day of workers of culture and art and poetry of Magtymguly Fragi. Representatives of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, as well as teachers and students of higher educational institutions of the country took part in this event. The scientific-practical conference consisted of a general meeting and four thematic sections.
Speakers at the meeting stated that Magtymguly Fragi is a great poet and the national pride of the Turkmen people, who made a valuable contribution to our literary heritage and the golden treasury of world literature with his work. As our Hero Arkadag noted, the thoughts of the poet, who have become valuable for all mankind, his poems about patriotism, humanism, and moral purity are the basic principles and philosophy of our nation.
One of the main events of the current year was the opening ceremony on May 17 the monument and cultural-park complex "Magtymguly Fragi" at the foot of Kopetdag mountain with the participation of our esteemed President. In recent years, large-scale work has been carried out in the country to popularize the poet's creative heritage in the world, to strengthen international cooperation in this area. According to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, in 2024, the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet will be widely celebrated in the country and abroad under the motto "The Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi". By the way, the law "The Cultural Heritage of Magtymguly Fragi" was recently adopted in Turkmenistan. As the speakers at the scientific-practical conference noted, all efforts are clear evidence of high respect and honor for our great poet.
