WORLD-CLASS SUCCESS OF OUR STUDENTS IN A GLOBAL COMPETITION
On January 20, 2026, the results of the “Global Sustainability Supply Chain Student Competition”, one of the most prestigious global student contests in the fields of sustainable logistics and international transport diplomacy were announced. Aimed at contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN initiative “Decade of Sustainable Transport (2026–2035)”, this competition brought together the world’s leading higher education institutions.
A total of 113 elite teams from around the world participated in this global competition. They navigated a highly complex, three-stage competitive process (written submission, presentation, and final pitch) focused on solving real-world logistics and sustainable supply chain challenges. The judging panel comprised experts from some of the world's largest and most influential organizations, including the World Bank Group, FIATA, and the International Air Cargo Association (TIACA).
Students from the Faculty of International Economic Relations at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan achieved outstanding success in this highly competitive international arena. “Rhode2Ashgabat”, a joint international team they formed with students from the University of Rhode Island (USA), successfully advanced to the final and most rigorous stage of the competition — the Final Round and was honored with a special international Certificate of Recognition.
According to the final results of the competition, Mahri Guzychyyeva and Davut Gezerov, the 3rd-year students of the Faculty of International Economic Relations of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, won podium places and were awarded diplomas, medals for their outstanding performance. Our students were guided at this international level by Gaplang Esenamanov, Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of International Economic Relations, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Master Teacher of Turkmenistan.
This international achievement is clear evidence that the younger generation is academically mastering Turkmenistan’s international initiatives in transport diplomacy and sustainable development, and it underscores the world-class prestige of our country's higher education system.
