21-November International television day
The member states of the United Nations proposed to mark this day through teleconferences on issues such as peace, security, economic and social development, and expanding cultural exchange. In fact, World Television Day is celebrated not only to highlight the technical aspects of television, but also to highlight the endless conveniences, opportunities, and benefits that it brings to our lives. Also, in our modern world, television has become a symbol of communication and globalization. In 1996, the United Nations General Assembly declared November 21 every year as World Television Day. As we know from internet information, television has a history of almost a century. The first experiments to transmit and receive electron beams over certain distances were conducted in the early 1920s in the United States, Japan, and the Soviet Union.
In 1933, Vladimir Zvorykin managed to invent the cathode ray tube, which became the main component of television. As a result of Zworyki's discovery, serial television broadcasts began in Great Britain and Germany in 1936, and in the United States in 1941. In the 50s of the last century, TV channels spread widely in Europe. Despite the increasing popularity of the Internet as a source of information and entertainment in our modern world, especially among young people, television has not lost its importance as a symbol of communication and globalization. It is important throughout the world, influencing the formation of public opinion and the education of the younger generation.
