WORLD RADIO DAY
One of the most common forms of media is radio. Radio is the most reliable means of broadcasting far away. In 2012, with the approval of the UN General Assembly, the International Day of the World Radio Day was declared on February 13 of each year. The radio continues to be one of the most widely used media in the world today. In addition to World Radio Day, communication enthusiasts also celebrate World Radio Amateur Day. On February 12, 1950, the Union of Radio Broadcasters was established in Europe. Its headquarters are located in Geneva and have members not only in Europe, but also in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
One of the main features of the radio is that it is received by listening in the audience space. Since there is no image on the radio, the listener listens to the words of the presenter and listens to them. Radio is a platform that shapes society's diversity experience.
Let's talk about Turkmen radio and its development. Turkmen radio originates mainly from the Society of Radio Amateurs founded in 1926. On November 7, 1927, was established the Turkmenradio Society, and the first radio broadcasts began to be broadcast. According to archival documents, "Ashgabat speaks!" - These words were first heard from a radio station launched in the capital 80 years ago.
Thus, the Turkmen radio, which began to develop rapidly, did a lot of work to cover the achievements of the national economy, important events in public life, and news of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The good news about the Great Victory in the war was brought to the attention of the Turkmen people by radio announcer Arab Gurbanov.
During our independence, Turkmen radio has reached a new level of quality. At present, there are radio stations "Watan", "Char Tarapdan", "Miras" and "Owaz". Each radio station has its own special sections, and several programs for each section are also prepared on a scheduled basis. Frequent radio broadcasts in our country not only provide their listeners with news, but also entertain a number of interesting, educationally entertaining cultural sites.
