EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL SEMINAR DEDICATED TO THE POLICY OF NEUTRALITY
On September 15, 2026, an educational and methodological seminar titled “Policy of Neutrality of Turkmenistan” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event was organized in accordance with the action plan for detailed explanation and advocacy throughout the academic year regarding the historical significance of the lesson delivered by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, at the Ruhyyet Palace in Arkadag City on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Students and the beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year. University students and secondary school pupils attended the seminar.
Suray Ovlyagulyyeva, a lecturer at the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the Institute, led the educational and methodological seminar. During the seminar, the lecturer spoke in detail about the importance of the positive neutrality policy implemented under the wise leadership of our esteemed President, Turkmenistan’s role in international relations, and how this historical status, recognized by the UN General Assembly, enables our country to act as a reliable and responsible partner on the global stage. Special attention was also given to the specific tasks performed by the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, located in our capital, in maintaining peace and stability, as well as preventing conflicts in the region.
At the end of the educational and methodological seminar, the university students and secondary school pupils addressed the lecturer with their questions of interest.
