SEMINAR HIGHLIGHTS TURKMENISTAN’S NEUTRALITY POLICY
On September 15, 2026, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a seminar titled “The Neutrality Policy of Turkmenistan” for first-year students across all faculties.
The session was led by Suray Ovlyagulyyeva, a lecturer in the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy. She detailed the nation’s peaceful neutrality policy – consistently pursued under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan and underscored its role in strengthening the country’s international standing.
The presentation emphasized Turkmenistan’s historic legal status, recognized through three UN General Assembly resolutions, which enables the nation to serve as a reliable global partner. The discussion also highlighted the vital contributions of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, headquartered in Ashgabat.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where attending university students received detailed responses to their questions.
