Practice makes perfect
«Practice makes perfect.» Everyone knows this proverb. Practice is the key to mastering your future job. The relevance of the practice is determined by the fact that during the internship, students acquire the necessary practical skills, which is impossible for a specialist to do without. Most of all, practice makes you feel the responsibility of your future job.
From June 22 to July 19, 2024, practice days continue for students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, where students practice on their specialty.
My practice takes place at the International Information Center (IIC) of the State Committee for Television, Radio and Cinematography of Turkmenistan. This center cooperates with many foreign TV channels and platforms. Among them are CGTN TV, CGTN news platform, ASIAVISION news platform, MIR 24, RUSSIA 24 TV, Ruptly TV, RT DOC TV channels and etc. The IIC prepares reportages about the main events taking place in our country. The reporters of this center teach us how to prepare the reportages and the whole process of taking interviews: prepare appropriate questions for foreign guests who come to the international events, organize the interview, manage time and appropriate place for them.
This center also informs its foreign and local audience via its web site. The news are prepared in three languages: Turkmen, Russian and English. Due to this fact, the editors of the web site Turkmenistan’s News Portal teach us to prepare the news in three languages, select the news due to their relevance, then teach us the proper political terms which should be used.
We are very grateful to the workers of this center for their individual work with us which helps us to put our theoretical knowledge into practice. I wish them success in their difficult work.
