MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF TURKMENISTAN IS PARTICIPATING IN THE INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF NEWLY ELECTED PRESIDENT OF ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN
On July 30, 2024, Deputy – Chairman of the Cabinet, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov has arrived in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian.
During the Cabinet of Ministers meeting on July 26, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran, one of our country’s closest neighbors and partners, maintains friendly and fraternal relations with Turkmenistan.
Arkadagly Hero Serdar sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to Masoud Pezeshkian on his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The head of the state sincerely wished President Masoud Pezeshkian good health and great success in all initiatives aimed at the progress and prosperity of the Iranian people.
The National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan our Hero Arkadag sent heartfelt congratulations to Masoud Pezeshkian on his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Hero Arkadag sincerely wished President Masoud Pezeshkian health, happiness and success in his new endeavors.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is traditionally one of the most important partners with which our country maintains trade and economic ties and today the political and diplomatic dialogue at the bilateral level and within international organizations is successfully developing, based on the traditions of respect and mutual understanding.
The humanitarian sphere is an integral component of the Turkmen-Iranian dialogue. Evidence of this is the mutual visits of delegations from the two countries, the holding of joint cultural events, in particular Culture Days, various exhibitions and other events.
The traditionally friendly nature of the Turkmen-Iranian relations is gaining new content every year. The cardinal transformations being carried out today, the course taken towards accelerated diversification and digitalization of the national economy, coupled with the maximum use of the accumulated experience of joint work, rich natural resources and the huge economic and export potential available, open up great opportunities for expanding the range of partnership between the two states. Emphasizing the positive dynamics of building up relations in priority areas, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue deepening constructive ties in the fuel and energy, transport and communication sectors, dialogue in construction and infrastructure, customs and border regulation, industry, agriculture and water management, engineering and technical developments.
