A meaningful lesson is the essence of all good beginnings
Every year, on the first day of autumn, the Day of Knowledge and students youth is celebrated. It is on this day that the "first bells" are rung on ceremonial lines in all secondary schools to universities and institutes, which announce the beginning of the new academic year.
Today, on 1st of September, a new academic year starts in all educational institutions – from secondary schools to universities and institutes in all parts of our country. This day our country traditionally celebrates the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth. The relay race of festive celebrations dedicated to the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth continued in the city of Arkadag. Our honourable President took part in the opening ceremony of a number of educational institutions of the country's first «smart» city. On the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth our esteemed President sent a congratulatory message to schoolchildren, students, teachers and all employees of the education system of Turkmenistan. A congratulatory message sent by our esteemed President was read proudly. Our esteemed President noted in his congratulatory message, addressing the young generation: “Great achievements, great developments, first of all, are closely related to the strength, talent and creative abilities of the scientific and educated generation”.
As it is mentioned above, we can proudly to say that our national pride is talented youth who successfully represent our country and our people in different parts of the world. With a sense of high patriotism and determination, our young generation deeply comprehends the world of science and knowledge. And, we, teachers are responsible for teaching our young generation to follow and become a high example of patriotism, morality, physical and spiritual health, worthy successors of the primordial national principles of our ancestors and our Hero Arkadag and our esteemed President.
It should be noted that on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, which is widely celebrated in the country, and the beginning of the new 2023-2024 academic year, in different parts of the country, according to the noble tradition, ceremonies were held to open new educational institutions and laid their foundations.
We were the witnesses this significant event on the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, a lot of new educational institutions, schools and kindergartens located in various parts of Motherland opened wide their doors for children of kindergartens, pupils of secondary comprehensive school and students of the higher educational establishments.
The comprehensive development of the national education system and the strengthening of its material and equipment base, bringing this system to a qualitatively new level, is an important priority of the national policy initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and continued under the leadership of our Esteemed President. In this regard, special importance is attached to the improvement of the higher education system, which is aimed at the formation of highly qualified personnel for various sectors of the national economy. The material and technical base of the system of education and science is being purposefully strengthened in our country.
Thus, today, secondary and higher education institutions are not only well-equipped educational centers for preparing modern educated, comprehensively developed youth, but they are also responsible for the comprehensive development of our nation's intellectual potential, cultural and spiritual development of our society, the further socio-economic development of our Motherland, which is a reliable basis for their well-being. National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov notes in his book "The Principle of Turkmen Statehood" "The most valuable heritage is upbringing, and the essence of upbringing is science and education, it raises a person to the heights".
It should be noted that on the 1st of September, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a general lesson on the occasion of the Day of Knowlegde and Student Youth and the beginning of the new academic year at the Arkadag city “Ruhyýet” Palace. Representatives of public organizations of the country, young professionals working in various sectors of the economy, rectors of higher education institutions, teachers and students, schoolchildren, and representatives of the mass media attended.
Our Hero Arkadag congratulated the students on the 32nd anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan, which is celebrated with a great holiday in our country.
In the lesson our honorable Arkadag as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council, pedagogue, professor, and academician met with the representatives of the young generation and discussed the implementation of large-scale reform programs aimed at the rapid development of the Motherland and the provision of a prosperous and happy life for the people as well as the glorious history of the Turkmen people, national values, unique traditions, and the tasks facing the youth.
Our honorable Arkadag, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council emphasized that young people who worthily continue the principles of patriotism of their ancestors, social and labor traditions based on humanism, noble traits of national character, are the future of our independent, permanently neutral Motherland.
The participants of the meeting listened to the speech of our Hero Arkadag with great attention and enthusiasm, addressing the youth:” Our future is connected with youth. Young people should know history, implement modern plans, key directions and fundamental doctrines of state policy”.
As it is mentioned, for centuries, the elders have been an example of wisdom and nobility, adherence to the ancestral traditions of the nation. We deeply respect our elders, listen to their life experience and advice. In the new era, this democratic tradition has found a worthy place in the life of our state and society.
Our Hero Arkadag said that there is no doubt that we will achieve our great goals and high milestones if our efforts are combined with the wisdom and rich experience of the older generation. When the father is the real father in the family, and the mother is the mother, then the children will definitely find their place in life. Our Hero Arkadag mentioned about the upbringing, advice and life lessons given to me and my family by my father Malikguly Berdimuhamedov and my mother Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova have become our basic principles. Our honourable Arkadag emphasized in details twelve methods of education that are very important for every human being to be healthy, expand their outlook on life, reveal their talents and become a person, a worthy era, a state and a happy future. They are: patriotic education; creative and mental education; intellectual education; scientific education; cultural education; development of professional skills; education by art; political education; financial and economic education; public education; language education; environmental education through instilling a love of nature.
For the young generation entering life, these methods of education serve as an exemplary school that concentrates the past, present and future. In this regard, it is necessary to constantly improve the level of one’s knowledge, broaden one’s horizons and worldview, cultivate an interest and desire for knowledge, education, which are the most important conditions that ensure the development of society and determine the future fate of the Fatherland and the people, our happy future.
As our Hero Arkadag noted that there is a significant role of youth in the socio-economic development of our country and in strengthening the authority of the Motherland on the world community. In this regard, youth policy is defined as a priority of the state strategy. Within the framework of the state program in the field of youth policy until 2025, effective measures are being taken to form physically strong and strong-minded young people who know and honor our history, culture, traditions and family values well. The new edition of the Law of Turkmenistan “On State Youth Policy” approved by Arkadag Serdar guarantees the socio-economic and political rights of young people.
The motto of 2023, linked with the name of Arkadagly Serdar, who is doing a great job to ensure the sustainable development of the country and strengthen its role in the international political, economic and cultural space, as well as with happy youth, who are the driving force of our society, is evidence of great trust in the younger generation.
The motto of 2023, “Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar,” inspires the Turkmen youth to follow the path of realizing the great goals of the President of Turkmenistan through creative work and work faithfully for the bright future as well as to achieve high goals and increase our national pride in our independent Motherland.
It should be noted that the motto of 2023 corresponds to the mentality of the Turkmen, their cultural traditions, it is inextricably linked with humanistic principles, which are now the basis of the domestic and foreign policy of the Esteemed President of the country, the progressive development of our state.
The main motto of the country also includes the idea of the continuity of generations and upbringing of youth in the spirit of boundless love and pride for the Motherland – Independent, permanently Neutral Turkmenistan. But this motto is related to the youth because the role of youth in nation-building or development is very important and, this is because the development of any nation depends on the future generation. There is no doubt that youth is the most dynamic and important segment of the population in any country.
It is a well-known fact that the youth of any country is a great asset as well as it is also dignity of the society. They are indeed the future of the country and represent it at every level. The role of youths in nation-building is more important. In other words, the intelligence and work of the youth will take the country on the pathway of success. As every citizen is equally responsible, the youth is too. They are the building blocks of a country.
As we, teachers should follow the instructions and valuable principles of our Hero Arkadag in our educational process in order to educate our youth with a sense of high patriotism and determination. Our responsible is that our youth people must study deeply in order to comprehend the world of science and knowledge. Our young generation should become a high example of patriotism, morality, physical and spiritual health, worthy successors of the primordial national principles and also represent our country and our people in different parts of the world.
