UNICEF Held a Consultation with Representatives of the Ministry of Education
On October 25, 2024, UNICEF held a consultation with representatives
of the Ministry of Education. Within the framework of the meeting the
consistent and highly effective nature of the established relations between
Turkmenistan and UNICEF was emphasized. Priority areas, i.e.
management of the Curriculum on Climate Change Adaptation and DRR
and Methodological materials were discussed. There was also discussed
how the mass media of Turkmenistan should present this information to
their audience. It is worth noting that Turkmenistan was unanimously
elected as a member of the UNICEF Executive Board for 2024-2026,
which is proof of the effectiveness of the country's long-term cooperation
with the Children's Fund.
During the conversation, it was positively noted that Turkmenistan is
constantly improving its legislative framework for child protection.
Therefore, a national plan of action for the realization of children's rights
for 2023-2028 has been approved.
The training materials are intended for education specialists, including
university teachers who attended the event. The participants got
acquainted with the concept of social inclusion and provision of
comprehensive services of the project Curriculum on Adaptation to
Climate Change and DRR, and Methodological materials for university
teachers.
