Introductory event to the European Union program “Erasmus+”
On January 20, 2024, an introductory presentation of the European Union’s Erasmus+ training program was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan as part of increasing the potential of higher education. The event was attended by teachers and students of higher educational institutions.
An informational lecture about the Erasmus+ Program was given by the coordinator of the Erasmus+ national office in Turkmenistan, Aina Choreklieva, and the project manager, Guljan Saryeva.
During the event, A.Choreklieva spoke about the work of the Erasmus+ program in Turkmenistan, and also presented in detail the International Credit Mobility (ICM) project. G.Saryeva spoke about the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degrees (EMJMD) project. In addition, G. Saryeva spoke about the “Jean Monnet” program, the purpose of which is to study the best practices of the European Union.
Also, during the event A.Choreklieva presented the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Project, an EU doctoral and post-doctoral training programme, providing researchers with new knowledge and skills through mobility across borders and exposure to different sectors and disciplines.
During the event, the participants asked all the questions they were interested in, and, at the end, a photo session with the participants took place.
European Union’s Erasmus+ projects open doors to global education and enrich the student experience. Erasmus+ focuses on mobility and language exchange, providing a unique opportunity to study in several countries.
