Winners of “Yenme” NGO announced
On December 6, 2021, the winners of the "We hear the world, the world hears us" composition competition, which was organized by the “Yenme” NGO on the occasion of the International Day of People with Disabilities on December 3 and the International Day of Human rights on December 10, were summed up and the winners were awarded.
Students, staff and citizens over the age of 14 from all over Turkmenistan expressed their views, feelings and creativity on the International Day of People with Disabilities and International Human Rights Day. The most distinguished of them were 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and were awarded with letters of commendation and souvenirs from the NGO.
A number of students from the National School of Turkmen Diplomacy also took part in the competition, Jahan Orayeva, a fourth-year student at the Institute's International Law Faculty, taking second place, as well as several other students from the same faculty. The purpose of the “Yenme” Society is to increase the importance of International Day of People with Disabilities and to raise awareness of the society about people with disabilities. The award ceremony was attended by the Deputy Ambassador of the European Union, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the “Yashyl shohle” NGO, journalists and representatives of the “Yenme” Society.
At the end of the ceremony, the participants emphasized that the efforts of our esteemed President are aimed at protecting the rights of every person with disabilities in their country of priority and ensuring their standard of living, and that such opportunities are being created. They also expressed their gratitude.
