A TRAINING SESSION ON COMMENTARY MASTERY WAS HELD FOR YOUNG REPORTERS
On January 27, 2026, a training session was held at the International Broadcasting Center for young reporters representing media youth groups from higher educational institutions of the country. Organized by the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting, and Cinematography, the session focused on the upcoming AFC Champions League-Two in the Round of 1/8 between Turkmenistan’s “Arkadag” football club and Saudi Arabia’s “Al-Nassr,” scheduled to take place in Ashgabat on February 11. Some members of the media group participated through the digital platform.
The training session, titled “Mastery of the Commentator,” was conducted by Yunus Annayev, a leading commentator for the “Turkmenistan: Sport” TV channel. During the presentation, the experienced mentor emphasized the necessity for sports journalists to maintain an extensive intellectual repository of information to effectively cover domestic athletic events. He further elucidated the specific methodological nuances of delivering commentary during live broadcasts. Additionally, the seasoned professional provided instruction on technical commentary proficiency and the sophisticated intricacies inherent in sports reportage. Highlighting the opportunities created for them to improve their professional skills as sports journalists, he expressed words of gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag, and the Esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar.
