A series of lectures by ambassadors for students of international studies ended
In the Prosperous Epoch of the Powerful State, Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan is developing and transforming. In 2021, our country, together with the world community, celebrates the “International Year of Peace and Trust”. And this is a continuation of important events of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the international legal status of the Neutrality of the country.
Esteemed President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, addressing diplomats, sets the extremely important task of informing the people of the receiving country about the developments, transformations, life of our country, the goals and characteristics of its foreign and domestic policies. The President of Turkmenistan demands the diplomatic service of the country to perform their official duties at the highest level.
In this context, it is important to attract experienced diplomats, ambassadors to train future diplomatic personnel, whose experience can be assessed higher than any textbook in the specialty. This is evidenced by a series of online lectures by the ambassadors of our country in foreign countries for students of international studies taken place at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan from May 31 to June 23 this year.
One of the main topics of the lectures was the successful advancement of the foreign policy course of Turkmenistan in the context of new and responsible tasks of global and regional development. The Foreign Policy Concept of Turkmenistan for the period 2017-2023, approved by the Decree of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov (February 18, 2017), sets clear requirements for the diplomatic service of the country. Based on these goals, with the direct support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, lectures by Turkmen ambassadors accredited in foreign countries were organized for the students of the higher school of diplomacy, which deepened their knowledge. We have previously written about each of the lectures and their features in materials for information portals and websites. Thus, summarizing all the lectures, we can say that they were devoted to important issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation of Turkmenistan with the states of the world and international organizations, and also issues of pressing problems of international relations.
The future of Turkmenistan is young diplomatic workers, employees of permanent missions to international organizations, students and graduates of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Scientific and cultural erudition of the person, his high professionalism, ability to carry out analytical work, forecasting certain events in the future are considered the highest value of a diplomatic worker. And in this the President of the country plays the main role, laying the foundation for the entire system of international relations of Turkmenistan.
