International Conference on Disarmament
On April 27, 2021, International Conference “Ensuring peace, stability and security: Strengthening international and regional cooperation in the field of disarmament” was held at the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia. The conference consisted of two sessions: a high-level plenary session and a youth segment.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, as well as high-ranking representatives of international organizations in the field of disarmament, peace and security took part in the high-level plenary session.
The youth segment was attended by young activists from Turkmenistan and foreign countries, including representatives of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and International University for Humanities and Development.
The topic of disarmament in the context of spread of a culture of peace, in which Diyar Lomanov, a student of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, took an active part, speaking on behalf of the Young SDG Ambassadors of our country, did not go unnoticed either.
After hearing all the speeches, suggestions and opinions of the participants, moderator summed up the results of the conference and expressed words of gratitude to all those present.
