International meeting on the development of hydrogen energy
On April 8, 2022, an online meeting was held with the Japanese company Kawasaki Heavy Ind. and Turkmen state universities, research centers and enterprises on the issue of cooperation and experience in the production of hydrogen energy. Turkmenistan was represented by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, State Concern “Turkmenhimiya”, “Turkmengas”, “Turkmenneft”.
One of the priorities of the foreign policy of our country is the presence of a developing structure of energy diplomacy, and the main task is the development and maintenance of international cooperation in this area. In this regard, on the basis of the international initiatives of the President in the field of energy, a draft Roadmap has been developed for the development of international cooperation in hydrogen energy in Turkmenistan for 2022-2023. The project includes a set of measures related to the creation of domestic hydrogen energy based on modern technologies provided by high-level specialists.
During the meeting, the main attention was paid to the consideration of factors influencing the development of energy worldwide. The issues of international cooperation of Turkmenistan in the field of energy and some aspects of energy diplomacy were also touched upon.
