Opening Ceremony of the "SUMMER UNIVERSITY — 2024"
On July 8, 2024, Kazan Federal University opened its doors to the participants of the "Summer University — 2024" project. The opening ceremony took place in the IT-Park named after B. Rameev.
The project is being implemented by KFU with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Sociocenter".
The main goal of the project is to popularize Russian education, establish interpersonal, intercultural, and interethnic communication between Russian and foreign students. This year, 400 students from 13 countries are taking part in it: Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, South Africa, Brazil, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Russia.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Russia Konstantin Mogilevsky opened the event with his video address, and he welcomed the guests of the project, emphasizing that Russia is a multinational country where hundreds of cultures, languages, and traditions are intertwined. Vice-Rector for External Relations of Kazan Federal University Timirkhan Alishev reported that this year 3,000 applications were received for participation.
A third-year student of the Faculty of International Journalism and a teacher of the Department of World Languages of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan take part, as well as four students of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management in this project from Turkmenistan. After the opening ceremony, a networking session and introduction took place. “Summer University” program will be held on the following tracks: “Artificial Intelligence and Information Technologies Prompt-engineering”; “Technologies of the Future: Physics and Engineering”; “Language. Culture. Creativity”; “Architecture. Design. Urbanism”; “Business Analytics 5.0: Design and Development of Information Panels with Yandex Data Lens (in English); BRICS+: New Trends in International Relations (in English).
