Competition “State symbols in International relations”
On April 27, 2023, the Department of World Languages of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a thematic quiz called “State Symbols in International Relations” within the framework of the Russian Language Week. The competition held in Russian, was attended by 4 teams – representatives of 4 Faculties of the Institute. The state symbols of the country are the most important symbols of the state’s sovereignty. Respecting state symbols, knowing the basics of their correct use serve as an indicator of general and political culture in society. The state symbols represent the centuries-old history of the people, the connection of the present with the past, and the principles chosen for the future. In order to develop the intellectual interest of young people in state symbols of the countries of the world, which are symbols of independence and statehood, interesting tasks were conducted. Answering questions related to the state symbols in international relations, knowing national anthems, matching national symbols with countries through pictures, and interesting questions related with the State Protocols were asked. According to the voting results of the jury, the team of students of the Faculty of International Law and the team of the Faculty of International Journalism took the 1st place, the team of the Faculty of International Relations won the 2nd place, and the students of the Faculty of International Economic Relations took the 3rd place.
