Student initiative "Let's Speak Up" club started at the institute
On February 22, 2023, the opening of the conversational club "Let's Speak Up" was held at the Institute of International Relations, the initiators of which were the 1st year students. The opening of the club as part of the English Week was especially symbolic. More than 10 voluntary students took part on the first day of the work of the club.
At the beginning, the students were introduced the structure and purpose of the conversation club. The main feature of the club is not only the improvement of students' conversational skills, but also the presentation of new knowledge and ideas through the English language. After a short introductory presentation, the students were involved in various games and got to know other student participants.Then the volunteer club moved to the intellectual part of the meeting. The first theme meeting was "Acquaintance". Students answered various questions related to this topic, sharing their thoughts and experiences with friends and acquaintances in English. After that, students watched a video from TEDTalks called «7 ways to start a conversation with almost everyone», where it was told about 7 ways to start a conversation with almost everyone.
Dean of the Faculty of International economic relations R.Bashimov, deputy dean of the Faculty of International relations R.Akmuradov, teachers of the Department of World languages T.Babayeva, A.Satgeldiyeva and N.Niyazov came to support the student initiative to open the club.
