Educational Lecture on Issues of Judicial and Prosecutorial Supervision
On November 15, 2023, B. Atayev, Director of the Department for Generalization of Judicial Practice and Analysis of Court Cases of the Department for Supporting the Activities of Courts at the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan, gave a lecture on issues of judicial and prosecutorial supervision for students of the faculty of International law of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
However, supervision of judicial activities is the main constitutional function of the Supreme Court as the center for exercising of powers to implement the leadership of the state's judicial system.
And prosecutorial supervision is supervision over the implementation by the law enforcement agencies of the state, carried out by the General Prosecutor of the country and prosecutors authorized by him.
During the lesson, a representative of the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan spoke about the structure, functions and powers of the judicial system of Turkmenistan, as well as the ongoing work to improve the judicial system in details. At the end of the lecture, an exchange of views took place between the students and a representative of the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan.
