Another Training Lesson in Water Diplomacy Training Center for Prior Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan
On November 2, 2021, another training session on water diplomacy was held at the Training Center for Prior Areas of Diplomacy of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This lesson was conducted with the aim of increasing the educational, methodological, contractual and legal, scientific awareness of the future specialty of students of optional classes "Water diplomacy" on the basis of an in-depth study of the initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan on water diplomacy.
The training was conducted by the Adviser of the Department for International Organizations, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan M. Akmuradov.During the lesson, the role and importance of resolving key issues of water diplomacy in the field of international relations and the 26th UN International Conference on Climate Change were discussed in detail. It is known that the resolution of various tasks of energy, transport and water resources contributes to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals "Concept of the foreign policy of neutral Turkmenistan for 2017-2023."
During the lesson, a discourse was also held on the program of the 26th UN Conference on Climate Change, held in Glasgow. This Conference is currently one of the most important negotiations on the implementation of the provisions of the Framework Convention on Climate Change. At the forum in Glasgow, joint steps of heads of state and government around the world to combat global warming are discussed and agreed upon.
During the session, the important steps taken by Turkmenistan in the field of water security and their support at the international level were also discussed in detail.
