SEMINAR ON ENVIRONMENTAL DIPLOMACY
On November 5, 2026, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a seminar on the country's environmental diplomacy and its initiatives in this field.
Magtymguly Akmyradow, Counsellor of the Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, spoke at the seminar. The event aimed to give future specialists a fuller understanding of the country’s environmental diplomacy and its significance in foreign policy.
Environmental diplomacy helps coordinate the efforts of states and international organizations to address environmental protection issues. Studying Turkmenistan’s initiatives in this field is therefore important for helping future diplomats gain a deeper understanding of the objectives of international environmental cooperation.
The seminar enabled students to connect the theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies with diplomatic practice. Such events broaden young specialists' understanding of environmental issues on the global agenda and help improve their professional training.
