Scientific Conference Dedicated to the Day of Diplomatic Workers of Turkmenistan
On February 18, 2022, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a scientific conference on “Dialogue – a Guarantee of Peace” dedicated to the Day of Diplomatic Workers of Turkmenistan. The conference was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps of Turkmenistan, diplomatic missions working in the country, professors of higher education institutions, the media and students.
As part of the conference, an exhibition in the building of the Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan was organized jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, reputable international organizations, diplomatic missions of foreign countries, higher education institutions of the country.
The Congratulatory Message of the President of Turkmenistan to the staff of the Diplomatic Service of Turkmenistan was presented to the participants of the conference. During the event, Director of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, Yagmyr Nuriyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Turkmenistan, Matthew Stephen Klimow, Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development, Esen Aydogdiyev, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Turkmenistan, Ms. Narine Sahakyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan, Golam Abbas Arbab Hales, made their speeches. As noted in the speeches, Turkmenistan is successfully implementing its foreign policy based on the principles of positive Neutrality. It was also noted that with the new philosophy of the President “Dialogue – a guarantee of peace”, Turkmenistan’s initiatives to promote peace and security in the region and worldwide have received a wide response and recognition from the world community.
During the ceremony, young diplomats of the Diplomatic Service of Turkmenistan and senior students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan were awarded diplomas for their active contribution to the implementation of the foreign policy strategy of our dear Motherland.
The participants of the scientific conference adopted the Address to the President and expressed sincere gratitude to the Turkmen leader for his special attention to the development of the diplomatic service of our country. A festive concert dedicated to the Day of Diplomatic Workers of Turkmenistan took place within the framework of the conference.
