ABOUT THE GENERAL MOTTO OF THE IV SEASON OF THE PROJECT ON PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE TITLED “YOUNG MESSENGERS OF PEACE” OF THE INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF TURKMENISTAN
As it is known, at the 63rd plenary meeting of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the Resolution “2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust” was unanimously adopted. The adoption of this Resolution by the UN General Assembly as a platform for joint action is intended to contribute to the resolution of emerging conflict situations by peaceful, political and diplomatic methods and means, and to strengthening trusting relations between states. This document also shows the importance of continuing the ongoing work to promote a culture of peaceful dialogue in the world community.
The support of the next important initiative of Turkmenistan and the co-authorship of the above-mentioned Resolution by 86 UN member states clearly demonstrates the growing international significance of the policy of neutrality pursued by our state.
The adoption of this document is clear evidence of international recognition of the efforts of our Motherland to ensure global peace and sustainable development, build up mutually beneficial, friendly and fraternal relations, and strengthen trust between the states of the planet.
At the same time, in 2025 the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality will be widely celebrated. The situation in the world shows the determining role and significance of the policy of neutrality in international relations in modern conditions. The growing international authority of the state is also evidenced by the unanimous election of Turkmenistan as Deputy Chairman of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
Against the backdrop of such great events inscribed in the chronicle of the glorious independence of Turkmenistan, it seems appropriate to announce the general motto of the IV season of the career guidance project - the “Young Messengers of Peace” competition, organized by the School of Young Diplomats of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, which will be held during 2024-2025 academic year, as: “Peacekeeping diplomacy of neutral Turkmenistan: a reliable tool for effective cooperation and sustainable development.”
Such a motto will contribute to the popularization and propaganda among young people of the glorious history, present day and priorities of Turkmen diplomacy for the future as part of the declaration, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, of 2025 at the United Nations level as the International Year of Peace and Trust.
Moreover, during the competition it is planned to study and reveal the essence of priority issues, especially in promoting the global doctrine of our Hero Arkadag to unite the efforts of the international community, peacekeeping initiatives of our esteemed President and our national diplomacy, and, in this regard, consideration, study and thorough mastery of the important role of diplomacy, which is the main instrument of foreign policy, in the global and regional aspects.
Thus, the IV season of the professional guidance project - the “Young Messengers of Peace” competition, planned for the 2024-2025 academic year, will be held under the general motto “Peacemaking diplomacy of neutral Turkmenistan: a reliable tool for effective cooperation and sustainable development.”
