An Influential Meeting Strengthening Turkmen-Russian Relations
On October 12, 2026, a meeting was held among the students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and a representative from the Russian Federation. The guest has arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference entitled “Health Care, Education and Sports in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State” organized on the occasion of Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Industry Workers’ Day of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, Yana Polyaryush, a writer representing the Russian Federation’s non-profit organisation “Foundation for the Preservation of the Heritage of Russian Emigrants” delivered a speech. In her speech, she provided a detailed overview of the history and contemporary development of multifaceted Turkmen-Russian relations, placing particular emphasis on the significance and prospects of cooperation in the fields of science, education and culture. The engaging meeting offered students a valuable opportunity to ask questions.
The distinguished guest was also introduced to the national school of Turkmen diplomacy and toured the training studio operating within the Institute.
