Talented Youth have been Awarded at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
As is known, Turkmenistan widely develops international cooperation in energy, transport and water sectors as an integral part of its foreign policy and international cooperation. The Training Center on Important Directions of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan, which has been operating since 2019 at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, aims to bring up highly educated talented youth. In this regard, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan regularly organizes various contests and internet olympiads with the participation of students of higher educational establishments of our country.
Recently, an Internet Olympiad organized by the Training Center on Important Directions of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan of the Institute was held among the students of the higher educational establishments of our country on energy, transport and water directions of diplomacy of Turkmenistan. More than 120 students of higher educational establishments of our country took part in the Internet Olympiad and 57 of them became winners. The Olympiad was conducted in the form of a test covering the significant issues of Turkmenistan's diplomacy in the fields of energy, transport and water, as well as the achievements of the country's foreign policy.
By the way, the Scientific-Methodological Center for Sustainable Development Goals, which has been operating since 2017 at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, also conducts trainings and various competitions in order to increase the awareness on Sustainable Development Goals. The main aim of the center is to contribute to the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals until 2030 and to carry out scientific and methodological work.
The Center regularly organizes courses on the Sustainable Development Goals. These courses actively participated by the members of political parties, public organizations, representatives of mass media, including state and private structures of our country. In addition, the Center conducts scientific and practical activities in order to reveal the content of all Sustainable Development Goals involving methodological and practical approach. Practico-methodological recommendations are given on popularization of SDGs among population. An electronic data base is being established in this vector.
As reported before, on May 17, 2023, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held an intellectual competition on environmental protection and ecological culture among students of the 10th-11th grades of secondary schools of our country on the occasion of the World Environment Day, which was organized by the Scientific and Methodological Center for Sustainable Development Goals of the Institute and more than 350 schoolchildren took part in it and 45 of them became winners. The main aim of the intellectual competition was expanding the awareness of young people on importance of environmental protection and increasing their ecological culture.
In this connection, on May 27, 2023, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan the results of intellectual competition on environmental protection and ecological culture held via Internet among students of the 10th-11th grades of secondary schools of our country on the occasion of the World Environment Day have been summed up.
The results of the competition have been determined with the help of online exam portal and the winners were awarded with I, II, III level diplomas and valuable gifts on behalf of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Office in Turkmenistan.
