THE STUDENT OF THE INSTITUTE SUCCESSFULLY PARTICIPATED IN THE OSCE SUMMER SCHOOL ON JOURNALISM
From June 28 to July 12, 2026, Yusup Orazov, a 1styear student of the Faculty of International Journalism of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, participated in the OSCE Summer School on Journalism held in the Republic of Tajikistan. The Summer School was organized by the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe, with the support of the Representatives of European Union in Tajikistan, bringing together young media professionals and future journalists from Central Asian countries.
This program focused on the current challenges facing the modern media landscape. International experts delivered the lectures on the principals of professional journalism, Media ethics, Media literacy, and effective approaches to countering misinformation.
This year, 20 young professionals and students from the leading higher educational Institutions of the Region were chosen to participate in the Summer School. Besides the participant of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, there were representatives from the University of Central Asia (UCA), New York University Shanghai (NYU Shanghai), Ala-Too International University, and the Uzbekistan State World Languages University. The Summer School serves as an effective platform for improving professional skills, and its organizers are going to extend this successful experience next year.
As part of the practical training, the participants were conducted a study visit to the “Safina” state television channel. During the visit, they were acquainted in detail with the technical Infrastructure of the Studio complex, as well as the specific features of live broadcasting, and the formats for preparing breaking news updates. The program also served as an excellent networking platform of collaboration of peers and future experts international relations all over Central Asia.
As the result of the Summer School, Yusup Orazov was awarded with an official international certificate of successful completion.
